Michelle Lewis 

Michelle is a registered teacher with the British Theatre Dance Association. She started her dancing at the age of 3 at the Jean Champ School of Dance in Worcestershire, UK. At the age of 18 she travelled to America where she studied at the Dorothe Stage School, Newtown, Massachusetts under the watchful eye of Sabrina Anderson-Vaz who later went on to choreograph for the New York City Ballet.

Michelle returned to England to continue with her academic studies obtaining a BA (Hons). As part of her studies she took part in a student exchange to Buffalo State College, USA where her courses included choreography and ballroom dance. She also studied at North Cheshire Theatre School during this time.

In 2000 Michelle opened The Dance Workshop in Birmingham UK. Over 6 years she developed a successful school from an original 8 students to over 100. During this time she successfully entered over 500 pupils for examinations in acrobatics, lyrical, modern jazz, tap and choreography. Several of her students have obtained their student membership of the British Theatre Dance Association and two have continued on to higher education dance studies.

She has  performed with Birmingham Royal Ballet, Great Barr Musical Theatre Company & St. Augustine‚Äôs Musical Theatre Company.

Her students have successfully competed at dance festivals in the UK and New Zealand winning awards for Best Cabaret Troupe at Junior and Inter levels, Best Cabaret Trio at Baby and Inter levels, Best costume in a festival and Most Promising Competitor at Junior level.  In 2012 her junior students were placed 1st Tap Troupe, 2nd Modern Jazz Troupe,  1st Classical Ballet under 9yrs as well as many other placing's in the BTDA festival in Auckland.

Michelle has adjudicated at dance festivals and talent quests in New Zealand.  Michelle is available for private lessons, adjudication and choreography.  She is a trainee examiner for BTDA.


Graham Lewis

Graham has been involved in musical theatre both as an amateur and professionally for more than 20 years.

He has played may roles in shows over the years including

Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls,  George Musgrove in Little Me ,  Drake and Greylag in Honk!,  The Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Prince of Sherwood,  Billy Flynn in Chicago, Billy Fisher in Billy,   Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd in Best Little Whorehouse in Teaxas,  Pippin in Pippin,  The Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors,  Endostini in The Night Maxi Tortellini Hit Big Lola Latrobe's,  Tim Allgood in Noises Off ,  Herr Flick in 'Allo 'Allo,   Zoltan in My Fair Lady,  Chalkie and Elvis in Andy Capp and various character parts in these pantomies - Cinderella, Mother Goose, Aladdin and Snow White. He has also had chorus roles in Follies, The Wiz, Return to the Forbidden Planet and as a guard in Swan Lake for Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Graham is our acting coach for the Theatreworks holiday programme. He also provides administrative support during the term and is our Stage Manager for performances. 

Fiona Bee Fiona Bee

Fiona is our vocal coach for our Theatreworks Holiday Programme. She studied at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art in Christchurch studying both classical and musical theatre technique. She has had many roles in TVNZ children's productions and appeared in the Good Morning Show and Showcase where she was voted back as the viewers favourite performer. She performs with 'Frankie and the Bee' throughout New Zealand.

Fiona ensures all our young people have fun whilst learning in our sessions. You won't hear a scale practised just lots of 'real songs'.  Fiona introduces many new characters to the world of singing which grabs the attention of everyone in the room and has us in hysterics (whilst still singing - obviously). 


Levi - Hip Hop

Levi joined us in term 3. Levi trained at The Company in Wellington. He recently moved to Waikanae and looks forward to sharing his love of dance with our students.

Jessica Collins

Jessica Collins

Jessica joined us in 2016 having studied tap at the Deuxberry school of dance in Auckland.  Jessica studied various tap syllabus including UPBEAT, BTDA, NZAMD. She will be teaching our tap classes and performance teams this year.
